Covid-19 updates 02/01/2023

As a healthcare setting, the practice is still required to maintain heightened infection control measures for face-to-face appointments. This is despite the lifting of all governmental Covid-19 restrictions in England on the 27/05/2022.

Please do not attend the practice if you have just tested positive for Covid-19, have symptoms of Covid-19, or feel generally unwell with symptoms of a cold, flu, or a tummy bug.

Please contact me should you be unsure of what to do, as from a situation and another we might still be able to meet or have to reschedule (for example if you only have mild cold symptoms and are happy to wear a medical grade face mask and sanitize your hands on arrival, your session could still go ahead).

As your osteopath, I am required to follow up-to-date guidelines from my regulatory body as well as to use my professional judgement to set up my practice policies and deal with individual cases as needed.

Accordingly, and in view of the high prevalence of bugs during the winter and spring seasons, I have decided to carry on wearing some level of PPE to reduce the risk of transmission of illness between myself and my patients.

This will currently involve wearing a medical grade surgical mask when in close contact with you, as well as a disposable apron.

I will also carry on sanitizing all touched surfaces in my treatment suite between patients. The lavatories and waiting room being shared with other practices, are unfortunately out of my control, so please apply your judgement and caution when using them at your discretion.

I hope your experience of visiting me will feel safe and comfortable and should you have any questions or need any further information then please do not hesitate to contact me on 01273 661592 or by email at info@alexandraluzzatoosteopath.com
